About
I’ve been an consultant, academic and entrepreneur. Usually all at once.
Before heading part-time back into academia, I spent several years at Accenture building and supporting teams at Fortune 500 and government clients through software implementations, mergers and custom software builds. Whether managing budgets upward of 150MM or doing client and end customer facing roles in team development and training, I’ve always been focused on the way that small groups can perform more effectively and streamline their internal processes.
My current research focuses on supporting startups through the murky transitions of their early growth, pivoting quickly to new business models, and understanding the positive role that business can play in society. With research initiatives in data mining and economic development to the ideation and conception process of startup entrepreneurs – the end goal is the same – building great businesses.
I have degrees from Houston Baptist University, the University of London (London School of Economics) and as soon as I finish my thesis on “Entrepreneurship As Peacemaking”, the University of St. Thomas. I’ve just joined the board of Net Impact Austin and had the pleasure of serving as a judge for multiple rounds of the Dell Social Innovation Competition.
